Everything about The Cuningar Loop totally explained
The
Cuningar Loop is a
Meander on the
River Clyde at
Dalmarnock.
During the 19th century, Glasgow's waterworks were situated here on the site, and before the Victorian
Loch Katrine aqueduct project was completed, it supplied water to Glasgow, and was the location of several
reservoirs. It is currently subject to proposals to develop the currently derelict site into a
Country park, augmenting the plans for the
2014 Commonwealth Games village across the river.
